Even more impressive, if still waiting for a finalized deal, casting is underway for Leslye Headland’s Disney+ Star Wars series The Acolyte. Jodie Turner-Smith is likely to star alongside Amandla Stenberg.
Headland’s show takes place at the end of the High Republic time. This is roughly 200 years before Luke Skywalker’s era. Here, the former republic crumbled, and the dark side emerged.
Not much has been offcially revealed except that it would be a mystery thriller rich with dark powers and even darker secrets.
Filming will begin in London later in the fall. Turner-Smith confirmed roles are in Adam Sandler’s Murder Mystery 2, the Apple TV+ comedy Bad Monkey, and Noah Baumbach’s White Noise.
