The on-set lawyer for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Malia Arrayah, discusses why she thinks a team-up between Ms. Marvel and She-Hulk would be awesome. The most recent MCU original series to debut on Disney+ was She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and Ms. Marvel. There are strong female protagonists at the center of both series. In She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Tatiana Maslany portrays Jennifer Walters. Like her cousin Bruce Banner, the latter can transform into a rage monster. In the meantime, Ms. Marvel follows Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani), a young woman whose great-bangle grandmother gives her the ability to transform into a superhero.
Ms. Marvel did exceptionally well at the box office and quickly became the MCU’s highest-rated film overall. Meanwhile, She-Hulk also garnered mainly favorable reviews from critics. Both series made an effort to deviate from the standard MCU fare. For example, Ms. Marvel was not only the first MCU film to have a Muslim superhero but also a cultural investigation of the trauma caused by the partition of India and Pakistan. Meanwhile, she-Hulk: Attorney at Law offered a nuanced critique of gender issues in modern society while directly addressing some of the MCU’s most egregious criticisms. Of course, it goes without saying that the pairing of She-Hulk and Ms. Marvel would be a major event in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’s Arrayah spoke with Screen Rant exclusively about why she thinks a team-up between Ms. Marvel and She-Hulk would be awesome. Arrayah observes that the two are the same in one significant respect: they have recently realized their abilities. As a result, Arrayah feels it would be fun to get them together because they’re in the same situation. Have a look at what she has to say below:
“It would be really interesting to see She-Hulk with Ms. Marvel because Ms. Marvel [just] happens to find her powers. I think there’s kind of a similar sense of excitement. For Jen, her powers are new, and she’s She-Hulk. They both embody these new senses of power and realize [it within] themselves. I would be very interested in [seeing them in] the same vicinity and seeing what would happen.”
The parallels between She-Hulk and Ms. Marvel are striking and cannot be ignored. However, a future encounter between the two in the MCU, if any, is still up in the air. Ms. Marvel will soon make her return to the MCU in the film The Marvels. She will co-star with Teyonah Parris’ Monica Rambeau and Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel. In addition, there have been speculations about the second season of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law or an appearance by She-Hulk in Daredevil: Born Again, but nothing has been verified about She-future Hulk in the MCU at this time. Therefore, there don’t appear to be any immediate plans for a meeting between the two in the MCU.
A future encounter between them is still possible. Both appear in canonical Marvel comics and have a shared continuity with the Avengers. Since there are at least two more Avengers movies in the works, anything could happen. In addition, together, they form a formidable force. Both are extremely charming, and they made huge waves in the MCU within a matter of months. However, due to the relative newness of both She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and Ms. Marvel to the MCU, it is too soon to predict whether or not the two will ever team up.
