July 3 was Tom Cruise’s big day. He turned 60 this year, reaching a milestone in his personal and professional life. Perhaps, this is why the Top Gun star has celebrated his 60th this year with more style and enthusiasm.
Tom attended the 2022 British Grand Prix, where he supported Lewis Hamilton, his close friend of a long time. The fans witnessed their favorite star flashing wide grins while he greeted the attendees. Later, he was seen having a great time with his colleagues, co-workers, and other acquaintances among the VIP guests.
The legendary protagonist of Mission Impossible, Top Gun, and other historic movies chose to be casual for his birthday outing. People adored him stepping out in a casual light blue polo shirt and a jacket paired with dark trousers. His signature aviator sunglasses complete his smart-casual looks. Cruise supported his friend and Mercedes driver, Lewis Hamilton. He expressed to Martin Brundle from Sky Sports, “Lewis always. He’s a great friend of mine. I hope he has a great day.”
Besides his grand Prix outing, the actor playing famous Ethan Hunt’s role in the MI series also attended Adele’s concert at the British Summer Time Hyde Park Festival in London. The event took place ahead of his birthday. The singer enjoyed a star-studded turnout. Many other stars, including Idris Elba, Natalie Portman, and the Heartstopper cast, also attended the event.
Tom also had another big news to celebrate besides his birthday. As per Variety, his recent flick Top Gun: Maverick crossed the mark of 1 billion USD at the international box office. It became Cruise’s first film to reach a significant milestone. His last massive global earning was Mission: Impossible – Fallout in 2018 with 791.1 million USD.
After accomplishing the massive milestone, Mr. Cruise took to Twitter to show his gratitude to the audience. He wrote, “To all the films in release, to all the studios, and to all the exhibitors: congratulations. To the audience: thank you for venturing out and allowing us to entertain you. See you at the movies.”
