Jessica Simpson made her debut as an all-American pop singer with a strong vocal range and spotless appearance. Unfortunately, initially, she had to trail behind her predecessors, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. But Simpson was determined to leave her imprint. So, she discovered television to make her mark in the industry. Jessica Simpson unexpectedly rose to fame as the lead of “Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica” (MTV 2002–2005). This reality series also starred her then-husband Nick Lachey (former member of the pop group 98 Degrees). Simpson’s career as a performer reached its zenith with her portrayal of the seductive Daisy Duke in the motion picture adaption of the hit television series “The Dukes of Hazzard” (2005).

Though she was widely publicized for her relationships with pro football players Tony Romo and Eric Johnson and musician John Mayer, her future film endeavors and her marriage to Lachey would be much less successful. But then, she made a comeback to reality TV as a judge on “Fashion Star” (NBC, 2012-13).

As 42-years-old Jessica advanced in her profession, the constant love dramas surrounding her personal life would continue to dominate the spotlight. However, she has made her identity as a remarkable long-lasting celebrity in Hollywood with her performance in great flicks. So, we take delight in highlighting her top 10 movie performances in the article.
